In Memory of Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

Fri Jun 26, 2009, 12:14 PM
Speechless, speechless, just speechless...

That's exactly how I feel when I've heard the passing of the King of Pop-Michael Jackson, arguably the greatest entertainer of all time and a stunning career spanning over 4 decades. Since everyone are aware of his passing, I won't go into that as I'm still in shock and sad as every fans out there. Instead of grieving over his departure, I prefer to talk about what Michael Jackson means to me since I've been a fan to his musics and signature dance-Moonwalk since 1980s.

My folks has been big fans of Michael Jackson's heydays as the lead singer of the Jackson 5 band back in the late 1960s till 1970s. In those days, they listen and rave to hits like "ABC", "Ben", "I'll be there" and "Dance Machine". Michael who still barely make it to puberty then was already a big name in the 70s music scene and the Jackson 5 continue to produce more hits until Michael went on a solo career in the 80s with singles "Rock with you" and "Don't stop till you get enough"

As an 80s child, my first Michael Jackson experience was the MTV of his "Billie Jean" single, the catchy bass line and glowing pathways still live in my memory since the first time I saw it. Then came the zombie infested MTV-"Thriller" that haunts every TV screens across the world and became the biggest selling record of all time with a whooping 109 million copies worldwide. Later, his explosive "Beat It" single that features gang violence and an ultra cool electric guitar background, followed by "Bad" and "Man in the Mirror" in 1987. At that time, kids and teens were so wild over his high-pitched falsettos "Owwww" and uncanny dance that goes backward, which only later known as "Moonwalk" and it was further immortalized in his 1988 "Moonwalker" musical that features more MTV hits like "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Speed Demon", "Leave Me Alone" and "Smooth Criminal". But to me, the most memorable feature about Moonwalker would be Michael transformed into a robot, taking out a drug cartel single handed and save 3 kids before flying off as a space ship. Oh, let's not forget the Lancia Stratos Zero sportcar he morphed into.

After a long absence in the music industry, Michael made a huge comeback in 1991 with his "Dangerous" album and a new look with bleached white skin for his "Black or White" single that touches on racism issues and promoting racial harmony. I was like "Wow" he changes his black skin to white just to prove a point and become that single. Although other hits like "Remember the Time" and "Jam" are cool, "Heal the World" make a greater impact and still a memorable tune to sing at any worldly charitable events. The 1993 live interview with Michael by Oprah Winfrey offers more insightful views into his personal thoughts, Neverland Ranch and he even flashed his signature "Moonwalk" live, real and no tricks at all.

Like every legends, they rise to the pinnacle of their times and fall from grace. Michael was labeled by medias as a pedophile after he was accused of child-molestation by Jordan Chandler-a kid who lived with Michael in his Neverland ranch. Despite his acquittal, his tarnished image continues to deteriorate with mounting public scrutiny fueled by tabloid allegations. Not even his short-lived marriage to Lisa-Marie Presley can shun all that and since then, the world also remember Michael as a closet pedophile with an obsession of his looks, due to multiple plastic surgeries he had over the years.

The HIStory comeback in 1995 was loud and big as his previous tours but only came out to be more like a compilation of his greatest hits along with new singles like "You are not Alone" and "Earth Song" which touches on environmental issues. Later, a duet with his sister Janet Jackson in "Scream" followed by "They don't really care about us". Michael' transition to fatherhood came after he marries Deborah Jeanne Rowe (later divorced) who gave birth to 2 children-Prince and Paris. In 2001, followed by the 9/11 incident, his "Invincible" album had a shaky start after label dispute with Sony but things still go well with charts-topping singles "You Rock My World", "Butterflies" and "Cry". But my personal favourites are "The Lost Children" and "Whatever Happens" where Carlos Santana plays the background guitar.

No matter how the world sees him, whether as a celebrity, a pedophile, an immature childish man or a freakshow with no nose, it doesn't change the fact that his musics and explosive performances still rock us to our core even after the "Thriller" tour 2 decades ago. Aside than always being a trend setter who spearhead the music industry, Michael Jackson is also known for his humanitarian activities across the globe. His love for lives, primarily children was his greatest asset and also his Achilles' foot that often land him in various pedophile scandals and lawsuits. Not to mention his vanity for keeping his young looks that took a wrong turn and screw up his face as today... Then again, Michael Jackson is only human and no humans are free from mistakes. Like Jesus said "the righteous man casts the first stone", none of us are perfect and we all have our share of screw-ups as much he does. So what is there to bitch about? Give him a break, people

Although Michael Jackson's departure is a great loss to the world, particularly the fans both young and old who grew up listening to his musics and watching his dances, it isn't such a bad thing too. When he was alive, he was the center of gossips and target of hounds and vultures who want a piece of him. So it's better for him to leave sooner than later as life isn't without sufferings and the previous 3 years were nightmarish for him. In conclusion, it's US who killed Michael Jackson and now he finally got what he deserve-PEACE

To end this journal, I wish to convey my condolences to Jackson family for the departure of their beloved son and this is how I wish to express should I had the chance to attend his funeral:

You are always an Inspiration
You are an undying Legacy
You are forever Young

Go in Peace, Michael Jackson:rose:
Thank you for rocking our world:rose:

Gundam 30th anniversary

Fri Apr 24, 2009, 3:17 AM
Hellya, I don't understand Gundam

Hellya, I don't understand the Gundam fagdom with all these suck-ups and ass-kissing antics by Gundam fags for every miserable titles without acknowledge each pros and cons.

Hellya, I don't understand Gundam because my level of enthusiasism isn't as big as Gundam fags when their general knowledge of mecha is only limited within Gundam circle where everything mecha has to be "Gundam". "Robot Spirit"? HA!

Hellya, I don't understand how can one live-size plamo project be meaningful for Gundam fans of all generations when it only reminds us of all the plamos we've collect all these years can accumulate to such colossal size like everyone can have a live-size Gundam if they add it all up.

Hellya, I don't understand Bandai's way of doing business and marketing strategy because I'm not savvy as Gundam fags with their ass-kissing antics and retarded appraisals in every Gundam fagsites as means of promotion and direct selling. What more, any straight comments made against it are deemed "trolling"

Hellya, I don't understand the Gundam "culture" because everywhere I go, I see UC and AU fags trashing each other like gangfights in red-light districts over which is more superior than others. What is the matter with you Gundam fags?

Hellya, I don't understand the religion of Gundam because I don't worship Gundam characters like Char, JesusYamato, SolidSetsuna, Tieria-the-trap, LauraCehack, Domon-MasterAsia etc.

Hellya, I don't understand why Bandai has to venture into the YAOI market when these homosexual BL loving faggots aren't into mechas and only dig homosexual scenes like Tieria dressed up a tranny. Does that mean Bandai has no faith in old fans at all? Or does that mean more teenagers today are becoming GAY?

Hellya, I don't understand why Zeta needs "a New Translation" when it totally blands out the epicness of the old Zeta anime. Are most Gundam faggots scared of tragic endings?

Hellya, I don't understand why most Gundam animes have to suck and why didn't BanRise put more efforts to make them epic. So Gundam animes are meant to sell plamos and they are nothing more but 200 hours of advertisements. DAMN

Hellya, I don't understand Gundam at all because the franchise is becoming more and more stupid year after year with idiotic titles like G, SEED and 00.

Hellya, I don't understand you Gundam fags at all.

Earth Hour

Sat Mar 28, 2009, 8:14 AM
On the Saturday night of 28th March 2009, it’s the world’s first ever global election called Earth Hour, where votes across the world are cast in between Earth and Global Warming. How to vote for Earth? Just simply turns off your house lights for an hour (8.30PM to 9.30PM) to show your support, leaving them on if you support Global Warming.

The Earth Hour campaign is a movement initiated by the World Wild life Fund organisation to urge world leaders and nations to take action against global warming by gathering voices around the world regardless of races, nationalities, ideals and religions to show that everyone across the globe are greatly concern about the global warming effects. The plan is simple: to gather over 1 billion “Lights Off” votes by broadcasting messages to ask people to turn off unessential lights at homes and indoor public areas as voting for Earth. The vote results will be presented at the Global Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on December, 2009. The meeting will also determine official government policies to take actions against global warming and to replace the Kyoto protocol, which often accused of either delaying growth of the world's industrial democracies or enriching third worlds in what losers claim to be a global socialism initiative.

Not long while ago, I’ve cast in my vote for Earth by turning off the lights in my house for an hour like I’ve got a power cut. It was pretty dark and knowing that I can’t find anything to do at such dark environment, I’ve decided to take my bike and cycle around the area to see whether everyone responds to such call on a global scale. Most houses in my area power down their lights in support for the “Lights Off” campaign, I saw families and friends hanging around in their pajamas and sarongs outside at night, chatting while enjoying the night breezes. So these are what I’ve encountered on this eventful night:

1. As I was cycling around the block, I noticed most houses has indeed power down their lights indoors but not all lights are powered down with many still leaving their garden lamps and lights at porches and verandas on.

2. On the road, families in cars are roaming around the neighbourhood catching glimpses of dim lighted houses while turning on their headlights at full beam and releasing more greenhouse gases into the air.

3. I rode my bike to the shops area and notice that most shops are voting for Global Warming by leaving their lights on. Such shops are restaurants, supermarkets, 7-eleven, cybercafes and a Petronas gas station. Who cares? They are among the greenhouse gases emitters.

4. I stopped by at the field to catch my breath and came across teenagers hanging out with their friends in darkness with their cell phone lights flashes; some even tried to throw basketballs into dunks without lights, which come close to blind men playing basketball.

5. A couple watching their children from a 50 feet distance and the kids had a Chihuahua as their watchdog. Don’t they know that they couldn’t catch up in time to stop a kidnapper from abducting their children at such a distance?

6. Outside my neighbourhood, most buildings are still keeping their lights on and the most significant of all is the golf range for golf amateurs to practice their drives. Gee, why can’t weekend sports goofs just take an hour off and do their bid for Earth?

7. I’ve came across a Malay house and saw children playing flares, fireworks and firecrackers left over from last year’s Hari Raya. Wow, more greenhouse gases released into the air.

8. I’ve just came back from an annual grave visiting, where Chinese burn incense joss sticks and paper-made money, clothes and stuffs for the dead. I must say, Chinese are indeed really terrible polluters for all the open burnings they committed every year.

9. I’ve bumped into many trashes littered on the streets and it weren’t so easy to spot the trashes on the roads in such dim environment.

10. It turns out that the night during the “Lights Off” campaign is not as cooler than massive black outs which occurred over the years as there still too many unwanted lights left on in my neighbourhood to generate heat.

With the ongoing broadcast of Earth Hour’s “Lights Off” campaign, I think it’s quite a success that the commercials are able to get most people to turn their lights off at home and even shopping malls are doing that in show of support for Earth, pretty well done I must say. However, we have already accelerated the effects of global warming and did nothing to prevent it when this matter was warned more than 20 years ago. Put it in other way, we’ve already sign a death warrant for the extinction of the human races with mass deforestations in North-South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania for oil, urbanization and plantation, which will lead to more air-water pollutions, animal extinctions and more mountains of trashes, which all these factors will soon lead to epidemics like SARS, Bird-flu and JE which resulted in multiple fatalities. Every growth has its residues, we shit what we ate but so far we’ve failed to prevent the shits from getting onto us.

Based on the 10 examples I’ve encountered, I can see why humans are still prone to be boneheads by acting without thinking. Yeah it maybe fun to turn off lights in support for Earth and against Global Warming, but why are we still contributing greenhouse gases and wasting energy like we always do before this campaign? Earth Hour isn’t about participate it, it’s about raising awareness and concerns about the effects of global warming which would spell disasters for Earth and the human races if the consequences are still being ignored. The Ice caps are still melting and the sea levels are rising every year; the weather is becoming more volatile with frequent rains and strong winds that lead to more flash floods that leave many homeless and deaths; rising temperatures and lesser rains cause droughts in many nations that cripple agriculture industry and depleting food sources, which could lead to famines; skin cancers caused by exposure to ultra-violet rays with the depleting ozone layer in Earth’s atmosphere. All these examples are the effects of global warming and these will soon become realities if the world still doesn’t act.

The 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse has been walking since the day when global warming took effect 20 years ago. Our main problem is that most nations, both 1st and 3rd worlds aren’t showing any concerns about this alarming situation before it got worse 2 decades later and they still remained ignorant while drown in fake luxuries and materialistic desires. Leaders around the world must acknowledge the oncoming crisis that would threaten our very existence and the fate of this planet is at stake unless we act immediately to prevent Armageddon before it’s too late. “If the Earth dies, you die; if you die, the Earth lives”

So let me ask everyone of you out there, have you turned off your lights in showing your support for Earth?

2 Wrong 2 Stupid

Thu Jan 8, 2009, 11:30 AM
First of all, I would like to express my condolences to those who lost their love-ones in the Israel-Palestine conflicts which has been going on for 53 years. May your souls rest in peace and if you could, please rise from your graves and help bring your warring nations together:rose:

Last year, I watched "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" where Adam Sandler plays an Israeli Mossad super agent-Zohan who aspires to be a hairdresser like his hero Paul Mitchell but his job always stands in the way. Tired of the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, Zohan got himself illegally shipped to New York, US to fulfill his dream. There, he started his "bushy" career by working for a small-time hair salon owner Dalia, who is a Palestinian immigrant trying to maintains her little salon in a district of Israeli-Palestinian immigrants eyed by a greedy US industrialist who wish to turns the area into an uptown business hub. The show is pretty corny but it does express the same thoughts what both these nunchunks really want-PEACE

The Devil must be laughing now at how things gone awry between Israel and Palestine, even I also find it comedic as the cycle of violence never stops spinning with both sides hurling bombs and rockets against each other. Yesterday Hamas launched rocket attacks into Israel, today Israel launches missile attacks against Hamas targets, tomorrow Hamas will sends suicide bombers into Israel cities and it goes on and on and on... So what's new with these 2 muthafuckas? Both refuse to live side by side, the people are demanding ceasefire truces but they paid no attentions to the truces because both have gone deaf with the sounds of boom boom boom. Man, Malaysian suicide bombers :[link] can shake hands with them too if they still have any...

I really miss the days of the ongoing Israel-Palestine peace treaty where the late Yitzhak Rabin of Israel was working close together with the late Yasser Arafat of Palestine to achieve total peace between their nations as they see both nations are brothers of the same land. Peace between these nations was almost a reality until Rabin was murdered by Israeli ultra-rightists in Tel Aviv. Arafat alone couldn't fulfill the peace deal with the hardliners from both sides keep pressing in and at the end, the peace treaty went to the shredder. Since then, things went back to square one where attacks-retaliations incidents occurred thrice in every month and the recent Israelis' so-called retaliations against Hamas' rocket attacks are nothing more but regular dailies for both nations. War is business, that's what they live on.

At the end, both nations got themselves to blame for all the catastrophes they committed. The Israeli government must seek to revive peace talks left unfinished by predecessors of both sides since they got the bigger stick than the Palestinians. The Hamas government must renounces its offensive stand against Israel and choose to live side by side in harmony. Otherwise, Hamas is just another typical band of thieves who refused to give up on making ransom moneys and they aren't honouring the late Arafat's will for peace.

And to other nations around the world(including my country Malaysia) who pick sides with either of these 2 nations, FUCK YOU TOO

Why? Because everyone are just good at fanning up the heat between these nunchunks because these idiots see the need for wars to help justify their selfish means:

1. Muslim politicians often use the Palestine cause to strengthen their popularity in their country election polls, at the same time show no interests to their own nations'needs

2. The Western nations who are no doubt on the Israel sides, are raking in profits with the increase demands of arms sales. Why not? War profiteering is legal.

3. Militants across the world always used the slogan "Kill all Jews and West" as excuses to recruit bums who are either too lazy to work or just too dumb to know about bombs strapped to their waists. And according to Edhi, whom I mentioned in my previous journal :[link] Militants are only going after for moneys, not jihad.

And now that my country Malaysia has call on locals (mainly Muslims)to boycott US products like the previous call to boycott Danish's, I would REALLY like to see them to relinquish their chairman positions and 30 percent equities at various local US companies like KFC, McD, Starbucks, Pizzahut, Dunkin'Donuts, Levi's, Coke, AIA etc-all for the plight of Palestinians...

No matter how wrong or righteous each sides are, it's a never-ending cycle of violence between Israel and Palestine. The whole world is also to be blamed for being war-mongering while doing nothing to put an end to it and a UN sanction for both will not helps rectify the situation and may only make matters worse. Some guy once told me before that a religion's worst enemies aren't the non-believers but the believers themselves because it's the believers who always deviate things up for their own selfish means. At the end of the day, religions are fucked up and the believers blamed it on other believers of other religions for their own screw-ups and that's how the war of blind-faiths started. If the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is of blind-faith based, then I guess what I'm looking at are 2 kids fighting over who gets the sand box. How childish the world has become...

Yippee-ki-kay, Muthafuckas:rose:
