Finally, I'm drawing a Gundam again! Woohoo!!!

After couple of years of SEED and now OO, I felt that people taste in mecha designs has dropped in standards as now the mecha fandom is filled with SEED and OO emos who are not of mecha-art savvies and will go all out to whack anyone made blasphemous remarks at SEED and OOs. Man, anime fandom now seems to have turned into dens for hooligans who just won't learn to speak nicely even to critics and often behave rudely under 'anonymous' titles. Pathetic...

Here we have the RX-0 Gundam Unicorn-a full psycho-frame prototype mobile suit which are specially designed for new-type pilots. In her normal form, her face is shielded but when she kicks into NT-D mode, the mask unveils a Gundam face and the horn splits into V-fins. In NT-D mode, the Unicorn is able to achieve great speeds and highly evasion actions, which renders her destructive to an army but the NT-D mode was only able to last for 5 minutes as the user's brain has its limit to bear the weight of the Unicorn which is 10 times the user's mass.
This Unicorn at the moment only available in novel form, hopefully there would be an OVA someday and we UC fans can rejoice together. Enjoy:rose:

LOL you cant really blame ppl for what they like V, and it not really the producer fault (partially) to produce Series that makes old school mech goers like us cringe at the well you know what it is.

But reality do set in one thing, its all bout the money and where the market is the hottest they cater there the most. As much as i love to see good designs for Story / Character and Plots, we will just have to wait i see how the next gen of story moves and hopefully move back to something more sensible.

As for ppl who dont react nicely back to critic ... well why waste time with em. I mean your just make yourself frustrated over something that is just a waste of time.

Well, I myself think the some designs in Seed and OO are pretty modern and all-good-around, so it's a metter of tastes...

I'd say it's more of an issue with Okawara & co. recycling designs over and over. If anything, I think OO hit the spot right on with a totally different look :)

I guess you're right about the producers part, who knows you can actually make a bundle from a flop. As the fandom part, I just hate to see the fanbase turned into a den for extremists. Then again, people do come to their senses after a hard lesson.

Agreed, OO is rather revolutionary but how come MSV always look better than the animation?

LoL a lot of the young fans for the New C.E. and 00 are just driven by flashy stuff. They will go after more realistic stuff as they age. :XD:

I know what you mean, they can get very defensive about the stuff they like. I usually ignore ppl like this all together cause no point blowing a fuse over em.

Because animation is way costlier to... well, animate :P

The original designs (which the MG's will be based on) of the OO gundams were pretty detailed before getting cleaned for the anime, like the MSV's...
