"In a distant post-apocalyptic future, war has evolved with the creation of cybernetic powered suits called NBE (Neuro Bionic Exoskeleton) and every since then, time has stop with the world lies in shambles of nuclear bombardments.
Among the ruins, walks the "Dark Skull"-a lone warrior in an experimental NBE suit with no pasts and memories of his own. Armed with brute strength and heavy firepower, the Dark Skull seeks to challenge the Gods, an elite class of NBE warriors lead by ZEUS, who is also the creator of NBE technology. Thus began the journey of this lone warrior as he will face unforeseen challenges against him."
As far as I can remember, the Dark Skull is an original fictional short serialized story written by staffs of now defunct A-CLUB magazine back in the 1980s' HongKong. Back in those days, Terminator, Ghost-In-The-Shell and Appleseed are popular pop culture materials, which also served as inspirations for the A-CLUB staffs to come up with this original title.
After the magazine ceased its publication somewhere between 1999 and 2001, Dark Skull has sort of fade into oblivion and so far, only a few including me still remember this orphaned title. Boy, I really missed those days where the only source of anime and hobby would be thru these HongKong and Taiwanese publications, before Japanese titles are more accessible thanks to Kinokuniya and the web.
Therefore, this is how I pay tribute to these forgotten unsung heroes who were my earliest memories of anime-manga. Enjoy
